Tauihu Media is a creative multimedia business driven by the ‘power of story’.
We are committed to embracing the new face of Aotearoa New Zealand, and telling stories that represent the multicultural society we live in and the global village we are a part of.
Producer Tui Ruwhiu and writer/producer Brad Haami formed Tauihu Media in 2010 to executive produce four short films for the New Zealand Film Commission’s high-end short film fund: Inorganic (Maria Elena Doyle), The Keeper (Dylan Pharazyn), Dive (Matthew Saville) and Ride (Karyn Childs).
The company has a slate of film and TV projects across a range of genres. Its first feature Tender Age (Peter Carstairs) is scheduled for production in 2019.
We offer expert knowledge around Te Ao Māori (the Māori world), which we bring to bear on many of our own and incoming international projects.
As a company and through our networks we bring together extensive experience as writers, directors and producers in film and TV, and print and marketing communications in New Zealand, Asia and Europe.
We actively seek partners and investors interested in New Zealand’s film and TV incentive offerings and its highly skilled production, post production and visual effects capabilities.
