Tauihu Producer for Prestigious EAVE Producers Workshop

Tauihu Media principal and producer Tui Ruwhiu has been selected to participate in the 2016 European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs (EAVE) 2016 Producers Workshop in Europe this year.

Ruwhiu will take one of the company’s development projects, Tender Age, to EAVE, which has a dual focus on script development and coproduction.

Tender Age is written by Dianne Taylor (Beyond the Known World, Apron Stings), who will accompany Ruwhiu to two of the three EAVE workshops.

European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs (EAVE)

EAVE, is a professional training, project development and networking organization for audiovisual producers.
It works with a worldwide network of partners and is involved in programmes for producers in Europe, Russia, Latin America, the Arab world, Asia and Africa.

The 2016 Producers Workshop will take place in Luxembourg, Lithuania and Czechoslovakia.

Fifty two producers will attend the workshop with only eight coming from outside the European Union. Twenty producers will attend with projects and their writers. The majority of projects being taken are fiction, with some documentary and animation.

Tender Age

Tender Age is a film about family, fatherhood and the different ways that families can come together in today’s society.

Tender Age is a contemporary drama that tells the story of elite swimmer Ty (14) who gets his swimming coach Nina (33) pregnant. When Nina’s sent to jail for sexual connection with a minor, Ty decides to pursue custody of their son, but first he must convince his ambitious single mother Mariah that being a father is more important to him than his swimming career.
