Tender Age For eQuinoxe Australia Screenwriters Workshop

Writer Dianne Taylor and feature film project Tender Age, to be produced by Taihu Media, has been selected for the Equinoxe Europe Australian Screenwriters Workshop, to be held in Margaret River Western Australia in August 2015.

Dianne is the only New Zealand writer to attend. She will join six Australian writers for the seven day workshop. Producer Tui Ruwhiu of Tauihu Media will along with the producers of the other six projects attend the last two days.

eQuinoxe

eQuinoxe Europe e.V. was founded under the original name of éQuinoxe Germany by Ellen Winn Wendl, Susan Schulte and Susanne Schneider and following 12 years of international success holding workshops in different European countries with advisors from the around the globe, in 2013 the name was changed to eQuinoxe Europe e.V.. Lord Puttnam CBE is the Honorary Chairman for eQuinoxe Europe. Since its inception in 2001, the goals of eQuinoxe Europe are to foster a more thorough script development for film productions and to build networks between European and international filmmakers. To date, eQuinoxe Europe has supported over165 writers and their producers from 21 countries.

In Australia, the eQUINOXE Australian Screenwriters Workshop is run by well-known script development consultant and chair of the Melbourne International Film Festival, Claire Dobbin.

Dianne Taylor

Dianne is a writer who has been active in the New Zealand film industry for the past decade. In 2008, her first film, Apron Strings, co-written with Shuchi Kothari, opened the NZ International Film Festival and went on to screen in numerous film festivals around the world, including Toronto and Cannes. Her short film Hauraki screened in the Tribeca Film Festival, New York in 2011 as well as the New Zealand International Film Festival and Montreal World Film Festival. It won Best Short Film Script at the Screenwriter Awards New Zealand (Swanz) 2011. Her feature film script, The Last Hippie Trail, was awarded Best Unproduced Feature Film Script at the 2014 Swanz awards. Her second feature film, Beyond the Known World, is due for release in 2017.

Tender Age

Tender Age is a film about family, fatherhood and the different ways that families can come together in today’s society.

Tender Age is a contemporary drama that tells the story of elite swimmer Ty (14) who gets his swimming coach Nina (33) pregnant. When Nina’s sent to jail for sexual connection with a minor, Ty decides to pursue custody of their son, but first he must convince his ambitious single mother Mariah that being a father is more important to him than his swimming career.
